Kogut & Wilson Celebrates 10 Years of Growth, Service and Recognition
This year marks a major milestone for Kogut & Wilson—the firm’s 10-year anniversary. What began with two attorneys and a vision of delivering first-rate client service during some of the most difficult and challenging times in our clients’ lives in 2015 has evolved into a respected family law team with an established and growing presence in the legal community.
Over the past decade, the firm has expanded significantly, growing to a team of five partners, five associates and a dedicated group of paralegals and administrative professionals who help deliver the highest level of legal insight and care to every family and individual. We are deeply grateful for the trust our clients have placed in us, as it continues to shape our practice.
Just as the firm has grown throughout the years, Kogut & Wilson’s recognition across the profession has expanded:
- The firm’s rankings in Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers® and Leading Lawyers have increased annually, with six attorneys named to the 2025 Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists, seven attorneys included in the 2025 Best Lawyers® and Ones to Watch listings and three rankings in Law Bulletin Media’s 2025 list of Leading and Emerging Lawyers.
- Eva M. Kogut has been honored multiple times on Super Lawyers’ Top lists and was selected as a Best Lawyers® Lawyer of the Year, further highlighting her impact on the field.
- Eva and Bryan J. Wilson were each named to Chicago Lawyer’s 40 Under Forty list.
- Eva and Cailee J. Alderman have both been featured in Chicago Daily Law Bulletin’s Women in Law roster.
- As a firm, Kogut & Wilson has been named to the Best Lawyers® Best Law Firms list since 2020 and was recognized with the Best of Park Ridge Award in the Divorce Lawyer category, a testament to its standing as a trusted legal partner in the community.
We continue to shape the field as thought leaders through regular speaking engagements with local universities and bar associations; features in podcasts, Chicago Lawyer Magazine and IICLE Family Law Handbook; involvement in national and professional legal conferences and frequently sharing industry insights that inform both clients and the broader legal community.
While our attorneys are fierce advocates for clients, as court-appointed Guardians ad Litem, certified mediators, parenting coordinators and collaborative divorce professionals, their impact reaches well beyond the courtroom and into our legal and local communities:
- They are active members of local and state legal committees including serving on the Illinois State Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Legislation and contributing to the Board of Managers of FLASH (Force of Lawyers Against Sexual Harassment).
- They sit on local boards such as Palos Park Plan Commission.
- They lend their expertise as trainers for organizations like Mutual Ground, supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
From being involved in community initiatives like Friends of Blaine to holding leadership roles on the St. Monica Academy School Board, their dedication throughout the years reflects the firm’s deep roots in the communities where they live and work.
As Kogut & Wilson celebrates 10 years of advocacy, collaboration and service, we are proud of what we've built and honored by the trust our clients and colleagues continue to place in us. We look forward to the decade ahead with gratitude and renewed purpose.
