Darby Groberman

She is experienced in conducting, compiling and organizing research for various causes, as well as creating and drafting documents for a multitude of agreements. Her experience from different legal disciplines grants her a more comprehensive perspective on family law matters.
Darby’s research-based experience and detail-oriented mindset allow her to aid her clients through the pressing issues in their lives.
Education
Darby earned both a Canadian J.D. from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and a U.S. J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy Law. She served as an advanced student attorney for the Environmental Law Clinic and was a member of the University of Detroit Student Bar Association.
She received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Alberta in 2018.
Employment
Before joining Kogut & Wilson, Darby was a legal intern for a legal coalition aiming to reform the Michigan immigration system, protect the environment and eliminate the root causes of economic and racial injustice, including mass incarceration. She conducted research on social justice and environmental causes and organized research for publication.
She also worked as an extern for the Center for Community Based Enterprise, where she assisted in drafting documents for corporate conversions and researched legal issues regarding employee ownership stock plans.
Community Involvement
Darby served as the vice president of the Animal Justice Association, where she educated others on animal and agricultural issues.
