Sarah (Holtzman) Hrabak focuses her practice in all areas of matrimonial and family law. Sarah has extensive experience in matters such as divorce, child custody, child support, post-decree matters, domestic violence and adoption cases.

Sarah is a compassionate and zealous advocate who is dedicated to helping clients navigate through what can be one of the most challenging experiences of their lives. Her diligence and client focused strategy enables her to successfully litigate and settle various issues families face today.

As a firm believer in the value of communication, Sarah understands the importance of taking the time to listen to each client’s individual concerns and needs and provide sound advice in response, so together they can achieve the best possible results.

Education

Sarah received her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, focusing on family law. While pursuing her degree, Sarah earned a CALI Excellence for the Future Award, achieved by earning the highest grade in the class for Adoption Law.

Sarah’s time at DePaul was also spent volunteering at the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic where she helped obtain Orders of Protection for clients. In addition, she represented clients at DePaul’s Family Law Clinic, using her 711 License in dissolution of marriage and domestic violence proceedings. Sarah also held the position of Senior Research Assistant to Professor John Decker where she was published in Illinois Decisions on Search and Seizure.

Sarah received her B.A. from the University of Dayton, where she graduated with a major in International Studies with a concentration in International Economics and Finance and a minor in French.

Professional Associations

Sarah is an active member on the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois’s Judicial Panel Planning Committee.

Employment

Prior to joining Kogut & Wilson, Sarah worked as an associate attorney at a prominent family law firm in Chicago and worked as a law clerk at two Chicago firms where she focused on both personal injury law and family law.
